In general there are a couple ways you can use glass as a liner or an adhesive and use them for many different purposes.

In small doses this can be used as a way to get rid of a stubbornness around the nail surface and the more severe an issue you get with any type of problem, the higher the cost of the repair.

In large doses this can help to remove a stubborn nail or make it easier to remove it (more or less depending on the type of problem).

Using Glass as an Adhesive

I have seen various ways for using glass (like using an adhesive instead of using clear gel in the picture above).

These are fairly easy to do like use a brush, or just use a nail polish that is about 6″ long (and more or less thicker than a clear gel!) to lightly apply the white of the glass. The glass can also be applied on a flat surface like a sheet of paper or a glass nail holder.

I generally use a cotton swab which is like a soft sponge. The glass can be applied on any surface you choose and it will work pretty well. Here have I used all kinds of glue glue.

Glue glues can be soldered to pieces of glass.
